Our Rising 3's room is designed for children aged 2½ to over 3 years which is split over three rooms.  An all weather outdoor area, so children are able to free flow throughout the day, a messy room which is filled with a variety of malleable, water, sand and creative activities for children to get extremely messy, and the imagination room to help grow their imagination and express themselves.  The main bathroom is easily accessible for Rising 3's children and is shared with Pre-school.  Rising 3's day is again more structured in preparation for Pre-school and staff work closely with the Pre-school team to make transitions seamless.
Rising 3's have a pet guinea pig, Boris.  This allows the children to start understanding how to care for living things and they enjoy the responsibility of helping to care for them.
A cuddly dog called 'Dottie' is sent home each weekend with a child.  Dottie spends the weekend at home with the children and we ask the parents to complete a diary with photos.  This helps promote parent partnership and communication skills for the children when they are showing and telling what they have been up to.
