Rising 3's

Our Rising 3's room is designed for children aged 2½ to over 3 years which is split over three rooms.  An all weather outdoor area, so children are able to free flow throughout the day, a messy room which is filled with a variety of malleable, water, sand and creative activities for children to get extremely messy, and the imagination room to help grow their imagination and express themselves.  The main bathroom is easily accessible for Rising 3's children and is shared with Pre-school.  Rising 3's day is again more structured in preparation for Pre-school and staff work closely with the Pre-school team to make transitions seamless.
Rising 3's have two pet rabbits, Ronnie and Reggie. This allows the children to start understanding how to care for living things and they enjoy the responsibility of helping to care for them.  A cuddly dog called 'Dottie' is sent home each weekend with a child.  Dottie spends the weekend at home with the children and we ask the parents to complete a diary with photos.  This helps promote parent partnership and communication skills for the children when they are showing and telling what they have been up to.

Zumba

The Rising 3's children have a weekly Zumba class with our dance teacher Sally.  Zumba is known to increase children’s range of motions, endurance and strength and helps to improve coordination. Zumba is intended to be a social experience, and when children exercise together, they learn to work with a group. It boosts confidence and provides an outlet for children to express emotions.

Kixx Session

The Rising 3's children have a term time weekly multi-sports session with Kixx Rochdale.  These sessions help to encourage a healthy lifestyle.  Other benefits include developing friendships and working as a team, stimulation of social skills and development of fundamental movement and ball skills.

Eliza Says - Singing and Signing

The Rising 3's children have a term time weekly singing and signing session in nursery.  Lorenza from Eliza says comes into nursery for the children to participate in a fun and relaxed singing and signing session.  The children learn some sign language through rhyme, play and song.
